Your work is very interesting. I have a question about the emission spectras. In the case of Eu a sharp emission is presented while in Sm and Dy samples a wide emissions in the green-violet emission can be observed. This is due to differences in the growth process or the nature of the dopant?. Thank you.

The emission onset at 400 nm is observed, actually, in all the oxides, in the case of Eu@Gd2O3 the intensity for f-f intraconfigurational transitions is so intensy that the 400 nm emission is neglected unlike in Dy and Sm oxides, where their f-f transitions are weak and of the same order of magnitud that the emission in 400 nm. The aformentioned is attributed to the low sensitization of Gd3+ to the Dy3+ and Sm3+ ions (due to the energy of their stark levels)
