Thanks for the comments. Yes, we will want use it for mitigate or eliminate the used of air conditioners and heaters. Yes the VO2 have a storage capacity thermal very good and its change of phase is solid-solid in comparation with the paraffin that present a change solid-liquid the affect the properties mechanical of the building materials.

Is the phase pure but we were able to obtain with a heat treatment since after the synthesis por hidrotermal the product still had a mixture of phases, however many report the synthesis with the use of treatments greater than 400 degrees and with an argon atmosphere. We were able to achieve it with a treatment thermal from 300 in an atmosphere of vacuum, so it is more varate and simple.

The VO2 of vanadium has a certain heat capacity, however it has been observed that by reducing the size or adding some impurities or other materials, both the Cp and other thermal properties can increase

Yes, it has already been doped and a reduction in phase change temperature has been observed. It has been doped with sodium, potassium but the most used is tungsten.

Really the phase change from monoclinic to rutile is controllable, it depends on the temperature that is supplied, if the supplied temperature is not that of the phase change, it does not change. On the other hand, the phase change temperature can be reduced if the VO2 is doped with tungsten, sodium or potassium and thus can be used in this type of application
